ABSTRACT
I had the opportunity to bring an innovative and interactive aircraft to life for our customer, Diehl Aviation. Using cutting-edge technology, we created an Augmented Reality app that allows visitors to explore and understand the eVTOL aircraft, an electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft for the city, in a visually engaging way. This app was successfully showcased at the Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) in Hamburg, European Rotors in Cologne and the International Aerospace Exhibition (ILA) in Berlin. Through interactive animations, visitors of our client such as Airbus, Lufthansa or Boeing, were able to explore the exterior and interior of the aircraft, as well as complex topics such as data processing, air flows inside the cabin and the individual adjustment of the cabin light. It was a rewarding experience to be able to make these technical concepts accessible and comprehensible to a wider audience.
From start to finish I was responsible for the client communication, the design and the development in Unity and C#. We used 3D CAD data from the client that already existed and brought it to life with multiple animations, a user interface and multiple points-of-interests.
To ensure the smooth high key presentation I supported our client at the exhibitions. The presentation was a success story and is planned to be shown again in 2023.
